It's once again time for the GHSA annual curriculum fair. Guam doesn't have the privilege of hiring special speakers or having big curriculum fairs like the states, but the local group does a good job of putting together an informal curriculum display and book sale every year. Typically this fair falls in April or May but has gradually moved to March over the past few years. This gives families more time to review and decide on next year's curriculum.
When: March 20th, Saturday
Time: 10am to 2pm
Place: Bayview Baptist Church in Maite, off Route 8 (behind First Hawaiian Bank)
Cost: $2 per family
Various homeschool curriculum will be displayed by veteran homeschoolers who have used these items and will be on hand to explain how the particular curriculum is uses and the pros and cons for each one. There will also be used books for sale, great deals to be made on used curriculum sets, and various yard sale items being sold by individual homeschooling families. Every family is responsible for their own table. There will be people standing by willing to give out information on homeschooling - how to get started, how to keep going when the going gets tough, how to homeschool the high school years, etc.
Hope to see you there!
